Follow along below as I take you through my Sky Pond winter hike on this beautiful Colorado bluebird sky day. You can easily add on in extension to this hike to see Mills Lake or Andrews Glacier. This trail is difficult, with steep elevation gain in the additional 1.4 miles from the lake (total of 8.4 miles round trip with Loch Lake Trail). I’m not going to try and explain how to stay on the correct trail to reach Sky Pond. Sky Pond Trail, located in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, is one of my favorite winter hikes to date.
